Alison Langer

Biography

British-Irish soprano Alison Langer studied at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama. Recent highlights include Nedda (Pagliacci) for Opera Holland Park, Mozart's C Minor Mass in Bergen and Mozart’s Requiem at St Martin in the Fields. Additional engagements have included Violetta (La traviata), Oscar (Un ballo in Maschera), Micaëla (Carmen) and Gilda (Rigoletto) for Opera Holland Park, Violetta and Micaëla for Opera North and Contessa (Le nozze di Figaro), Adina (L'Elisir d'amore) and Musetta (La bohéme) for Waterperry Opera Festival. She has appeared in concert at the Barbican Centre‚ Birmingham Symphony Hall‚ Queen Elizabeth Hall and Royal Albert Hall. She made her television debut on ITV's Victoria, performing as the opera singer Jenny Lind, and performed Young Heidi (Follies) for the National Theatre, which was broadcast across cinemas nationwide. She makes her debut with The Royal Opera in the 2024/25 Season as Frasquita (Carmen).
