Manchester Collective are reshaping the future of classical music by creating radical artistic work from their base in the north of England. The shape-shifting ensemble bring a combination of cutting-edge contemporary music, classical masterpieces and staged work to spaces ranging from concert halls to warehouses, nightclubs to festivals. They commission and present work by some of today’s most exciting artistic voices, crossing different genres and artforms. Previous collaborators include Edmund Finnis, Oliver Leith, Nabihah Iqbal, Laurence Osborn, Hannah Peel and Abel Selaocoe. They are currently artists-in-residence at Southbank Centre.
