Polly Virr

Trained at the Royal Northern College of Music, Polly is a cellist based in the UK. As a session cellist, she has worked with artists including James, Bill Laurance, Johnny Marr, Shed Seven, Cara Dillon, Everything Everything, Charlatans and with Untold Orchestra, Kaleidoscope Orchestra and Heritage Orchestra. Polly has played live on BBC 6 Music, BBC Radio 2, BBC Radio 3 and made various TV appearances including ITV’s This Morning and BBC Songs of Praise. Polly composes her own music for multi-tracked cello and electronics, with notable live performances including Aldeburgh Festival, MIF, Matt & Phred’s and Manchester Jazz Festival.
