I went to see the opening matinee of the Nutcracker today, and remembered what it’s like to be *me*. The Royal Opera House may have been half-full (#covidcompliance) but I’ve never heard applause and whooping like it – audience, dancers, orchestra, FOH staff – and not a dry eye
