Swiss-Seychellois soprano Chelsea Zurflüh trained in Bern with Barbara Locher and is a former member of Zurich Opera Studio, where her roles included Barbarina (The Marriage of Figaro), Zaida (Il Turco in Italia) and Atalanta (Serse). Her awards include First Prize at the Concours de Genève 2024 and Orchestra Prize Winner at the Junge Opernstars/Emmerich Smola Competition in 2025. Recent highlights include the role of Clori in Clori, Tirsi e Fileno at the Handel Festspiele, Serpina in Pergolesi’s La serva padrona at Theatre Biel-Solothurn. Other recent highlights include singing the title role in the world premiere of Fabian Müller’s opera, Heidi feiert Weihnachten, and singing Licori in Vivaldi’s La fida ninfa at Innsbruck Festival of Earyl Music. 2025/26 Season highlights include a return to Zurich as Sophie (Werther), Pamina for Cologne Opera, Zerlina and Soprano in Don Giovanni/Requiem at the Komische Oper Berlin. She makes her Royal Opera debut in the 2025/26 Season as Pamina in The Magic Flute.
