Biography

Guatemalan-French soprano Adriana Gonzalez was the winner of Operalia (2019). Recent engagements include Desdemona (Otello) in Strasbourg and Toulouse and Verdi's Requiem at Zurich Opera. Other highlights include Micaëla (Carmen) for Grand Théâtre de Genève, Dutch National Opera, Paris Bastille, Opéra de Toulon, Liceu, Barcelona and Teatro Real, Madrid, Liù (Turandot) for Houston Grand Opera, Opéra national du Rhin, Liceu, Barcelona, Staatsoper Hamburg and Staatsoper Berlin, Mimì (La bohème) for Liceu, Barcelona, Opéra national du Rhin and Deutsche Oper Berlin, Countess Almaviva (Le nozze di Figaro) for Vienna State Opera, the Salzburg Festival and in Vienna, the title role in Suor Angelica in Copenhagen, Salud (La vida breve) in Madrid and Antonia (Les Contes d’Hoffmann) in Zurich. Recordings include songs of Robert Dussaut and Hélène Covatti, Isaac Albéniz and a French duet album with mezzo-soprano Marina Viotti. Engagements for 2026/27 include Liù at Paris Opera (Bastille) and Elisabetta (Don Carlo) at Deutsche Oper Berlin and in Toulouse.
