Biography
Polish mezzo-soprano Agnieszka Rehlis’s recent highlights include Verdi’s Requiem for Zurich Opera, La Cieca (La Gioconda) for the Salzburg Easter Festival, Amneris (Aida) for Oper Frankfurt and The Royal Opera (debut), Brangäne (Tristan und Isolde) for Teatro de la Maestranza, Ulrica (Un ballo in maschera) for Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía, Cześnikowa (The Haunted Manor) for the Fryderyk Chopin Institute, Warsaw, Ksenia’s Nurse (Boris Godunov) for La Scala, Milan, and debuts at Dutch National Opera in Verdi’s Requiem, Théâtre du Capitole Toulouse in The Rape of Lucretia, Opera Australia as Amneris (also Laura/La Cieca), Bayerische Staatsoper as Fenena (Nabucco), Teatro di San Carlo, Naples as Amneris and Teatro Real, Madrid as The Fortune Teller (The Fiery Angel). Engagements for 2024/25 include her Staatsoper Berlin debut as Azucena, Amneris for Teatro del Maggio Musicale, Florence and Arena di Verona, Ulrica for Royal Opera House Muscat and Zurich Opera and Verdi’s Requiem in Florence and with Le Cercle De L’Harmonie.
