Biography

Ariane Matiakh is Principal Conductor of the Württembergische Philharmonie Reutlingen. Recent opera engagements include La bohème (The Royal Opera), Carmen (Stuttgart Staatsoper, Hamburg Staatsoper, Den Norske Opera & Ballet), Les Éclairs (Opéra Comique), Penthésiléa (Philharmonie de Paris), Le nozze di Figaro (Komische Oper Berlin), Madama Butterfly (Göteborg Opera), The Magic Flute (Opéra de Nice), Tosca (Oper Halle) and Werther, Samson et Dalila and La voix humaine (Opéra du Rhin). Engagements for 2024/25 include Carmen (Deutsche Oper Berlin debut) and Fanny and Alexander (La Monnaie, Brussels). Guest conductor engagements include appearances with the Symphonieorchester des Bayerischen Rundfunks, Bamberger Symphoniker, Rundfunk-Sinfonieorchester Berlin, Wiener Symphoniker, ORF Radio-Symphonieorchester Wien, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, the Hallé, BBC National Orchestra of Wales, Rotterdam and Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestras, Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra, Orchestre de Paris, Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France, Orchestre du Capitole de Toulouse, Orchestre Métropolitain Montréal, Dresden Philharmonic and the WDR, Frankfurt Radio and MDR Symphony Orchestras.
