British bass Brindley Sherratt’s 2025/26 highlights included his role debut as Filippo (Don Carlo) for Norwegian National Opera, Doktor (Wozzeck) with the Bayerische Rundfunk under Simon Rattle and the London Philharmonic Orchestra under Edward Gardner, Count Waldner (Arabella) for the Metropolitan Opera, King Marke (Tristan und Isolde) in the new production by Bárbara Lluch for Liceu, Barcelona and Sarastro (Die Zauberflöte) for the Aix-en-Provence Festival. Other recent engagements include his role debut as Daland (Die fliegende Holländer) for NNO and on Decca, Doktor for The Royal Opera and the Aix-en-Provence Festival and Swallow (Peter Grimes) for Bayerische Staatsoper. Engagements for 2026/27 include Hunding (Die Walküre) at Teatro Colón and the Salzburg Easter Festival, as well as with the Berlin Philharmonic, and King Marke at Teatro del Maggio Musicale, Florence.
