Bolivian-Albanian soprano Carolina López Moreno was born and raised in Germany. Recent engagements include her role debut as Santuzza (Cavalleria rusticana) at the Festspielhaus Baden Baden, Olga (Fedora) at the Opera Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, the title role in Adriana Lecouvreur (Opéra Royal de Wallonie in Liége), her role debut as Magda (La rondine) at Teatro Regio, Turin, her role debut as Mimì (La bohème) at Teatro di San Carlo, Naples, her role debut as Cio-Cio-San (Madama Butterfly) at the Puccini Festival in Torre del Lago, and Rossini's Stabat Mater at Teatro Massimo, Palermo. Other roles include Antonia (Les Contes d’Hoffmann), Silvia (Zanetto), Carmela (Mese Mariano), Leonora (Il trovatore), Liù (Turandot), the title role in Suor Angelica, Nedda (Pagliacci), Violetta (La traviata), Susanna in Saverio Mercadante’s I due Figaro, Mariuccia in Nino Rota's I due timidi, Rose Maurrant in Street Scene, Blanche (Dialogues des Carmélites) and Pamina (Die Zauberflöte). She has given recitals at the Puccini Festival Torre del Lago, Carnegie Hall, Metropolitan Club, the Berliner Philharmonie, the Jugendstil-Festhalle Landau and Cambridge University, among others. Engagements for 2024/25 include Madama Butterfly (Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, Opera of Lyon), La traviata (Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, Teatro Carlo Felice, Genoa) and La rondine with the London Symphony Orchestra under Antonio Pappano.
