Biography
Christine Redpath is a Repertory Director with New York City Ballet. George Balanchine selected her from the School of American Ballet to join New York City Ballet. She was soon promoted to soloist, performing principal roles in ballets by Balanchine, Jerome Robbins, Frederick Ashton, Antony Tudor and others. Redpath has staged ballets for the George Balanchine Trust and the Jerome Robbins Rights Trust with companies including the Paris Opera Ballet, The Australian Ballet, The Royal Ballet, Pacific Northwest Ballet, and San Francisco Ballet. She serves on the Advisory Committee of the Jerome Robbins Rights Trust and is one of four ballet masters originally designated by Robbins to maintain and stage his works worldwide.
