Dalia Stasevska studied at the Tampere Conservatoire and Sibelius Academy, and is Principal Guest Conductor of the BBC Symphony Orchestra. She appears with leading orchestras including the New York Philharmonic, The Cleveland Orchestra, Boston Symphony Orchestra, Philadelphia Orchestra, Los Angeles Philharmonic, San Francisco Symphony, Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia, Rotterdam Philharmonic, Munich Philharmonic, Mozarteum Orchestra Salzburg, Orchestre National de France, Vienna Symphony and regularly at the BBC Proms. Her opera credits include Glyndebourne, Finnish National Opera and Norske Opera with her 25/26 Season debuts including Akhnaten for Los Angeles Opera and A Midsummer Night’s Dream for Deutsche Oper Berlin. She makes her Metropolitan Opera and Opéra de Paris debuts in 2027. Her awards include being named ‘European of the Year’ by European Movement Finland in 2025, BBC Music Magazine’s Personality of the Year, the Alfred Kordelin Prize, the Royal Philharmonic Society’s Conductor Award, and the Order of Princess Olga from Ukraine.
