German composer and tenor Daniel Behle was awarded Singer of the Year by Opus Klassik for his 2020 album MoZart. His 2023/24 Season engagements include the title role of La clemenza di Tito at the Salzburg Festival, Lohengrin for Dutch National Opera and Belmonte (Die Entführung aus dem Serail) for La Scala, Milan and Vienna State Opera. Concert engagements include Beethoven’s Symphony no.9 with the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra, Schoenberg’s Die Jakobsleiter with the Berliner Philharmoniker, Missa Solemnis at the Aix-en-Provence Easter Festival and Paris Philharmonie and the baroque aria concert Kings of Bravura at the Bayreuth Baroque Opera Festival. Previous engagements for The Royal Opera include Don Giovanni, The Magic Flute and Così fan tutte. As a composer, Behle has released arrangements for tenor and piano trio on Sony Classical and Berlin Classics. His first operetta, Hopfen und Malz, has been performed in Annaberg-Buchholz, Brandenburg a.d. Havel and Neustrelitz.
