Biography
Spanish-American baritone Daniel Luis de Vicente is a frequent interpreter of Italian repertory, particularly the works of Verdi and Puccini. Recent appearances include his Vienna State Opera debut in the title role of Simon Boccanegra under Marco Armiliato, the title role in Rigoletto at Teatro Massimo Palermo under Daniel Oren, Scarpia (Tosca) at Deutsche Oper Berlin and Teatro dell’Opera in Rome, his Maggio Musicale, Florence, Oper Frankfurt and Welsh National Opera debuts as Rigoletto, his role debut as Lescaut (Manon Lescaut) and Michele and Gianni Schicchi (Il trittico) at Bayerische Staatsoper and his role debut as Amonasro (Aida) in Florence. Engagements for 2025/26 include Tosca with Royal Danish Opera, Nabucco with Opera Vlaanderen and Rigoletto in Berlin and Leipzig. He makes his Royal Opera debut in the 2025/26 Season in the title role of Rigoletto.
