Ella Taylor is a graduate of London’s Royal Academy of Music and the National Opera Studio. In 2021, they were selected to join Roderick Williams for recitals as part of Barbara Hannigan’s MOMENTUM: Our Future, Now initiative. Recent concert highlights include Górecki’s Symphony of Sorrowful Songs (Philharmonia Orchestra), Messiah (Huddersfield Choral Society, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra), Vaughan Williams’ Dona nobis pacem (Britten Sinfonia) and This Classical Life (BBC Concert Orchestra). Opera engagements include Meritaten in Akhnaten (ENO), Paris in Paride ed Elena (Bampton Classical Opera), The Cock in The Cunning Little Vixen (CBSO), Belinda in Dido and Aeneas (Ustinov Studio, Bath), Alicia Thomas’ Tell me when you get home (London Sinfonietta) and Gerda in Errollyn Wallen’s The Paradis Files (Graeae). They made their debut with the Royal Opera House in the 2022/23 Season as Tebaldo (Don Carlo). 2023/2024 plans include The Activist in the premiere of The Shell Trial (Dutch National Opera).
