Emma Laxton
Biography
Emma grew up in Shropshire and studied at The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. Her first sound designs were at the Royal Court Theatre where she was Deputy of Sound. Emma’s work includes Elizabeth for The Royal Ballet, Much Ado About Nothing for Royal Shakespeare Company and Dancing at Lughnasa at National Theatre. She was Associate Sound Design on War Horse (West End) and A Christmas Carol at The Old Vic. Emma won an Olivier Award for Best Sound Design for Emilia at the Vaudeville Theatre and a Falstaff Award for Coriolanus at Donmar Warehouse.
