Biography

Freya Wynn-Jones is a director, singer and maker working across a range of professional, educational and community settings. With a particular interest in the relationship between theatre and the voice, Freya works with companies including The Royal Opera House, English National Opera, Glyndebourne, Welsh National Opera, Mahogany Opera, Streetwise Opera and Aurora Orchestra. 

She is passionate about finding contemporary resonance in existing repertoire for diverse audiences and making new work to reflect contemporary experiences. In 2016 she co-founded Voicings Collective, devising new works of music theatre in the ensemble and in 2021 she formed Flock Theatre Makers, creating new works of music theatre for family audiences. Freya also works alongside opera houses to develop artist, facilitator and teacher training.
