Biography

Tenor Giorgi Guliashvili joins the Jette Parker Artists Programme in the 2025/26 Season. He began his studies at the Tbilisi State Conservatory, where he made his debut in 2019 performing the roles of Tamino (Die Zauberflöte) and Alfredo (La traviata). He is also a graduate of the Academia del Teatro di San Carlo, the Music Academy of the West and San Francisco Opera’s Merola Program, and in Summer 2025, he will graduate from Yale University's postgraduate opera programme.

Roles at Teatro di San Carlo include Cavaradossi (Tosca), Signor Hervey (Anna Bolena) and Flavio (Norma). Concert engagements include appearances with the orchestra of Teatro di San Carlo and Paisiello's Don Chisciotte della Mancia at the Royal Palace of Naples. Roles at the Music Academy of the West include cover Lensky (Eugene Onegin) and with the Merola Program, excerpts of Faust, lolanta and Lucia di Lammermoor. In 2025, he will perform the role of Vaudémont (Iolanta) at the Yale School of Music. 2025/26 Royal Opera roles include Mainfroid (Les Vêpres siciliennes), Gastone (La traviata), Sir Bruno Roberton (I puritani) and Leslie in the JPAP chamber production of Making Arrangements by Charlotte Bray. Cover roles include Tamino (The Magic Flute) and Grigory Otrepiev (Boris Godunov).
