Jonathan Lemalu

New Zealand-born Samoan bass Jonathan Lemalu has performed at international opera houses including the Metropolitan Opera, Royal Opera House, Bayerische Staatsoper, Chicago Lyric Opera and Glyndebourne. He has also performed with major symphony orchestras such as the Berlin, New York, and London Philharmonic Orchestras, and the Boston, Chicago, and San Francisco Symphony Orchestras. His 2025-2026 season includes Handel’s Messiah in Cincinnati, Bartolo (Le nozze di Figaro) for Opera North, and Brander (La damnation de Faust) with the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia, Rome.
