Lebanese-American tenor Karim Sulayman has performed internationally in opera, orchestral concerts, recital and chamber music. Recent engagements include appearances at Carnegie Hall, Spoleto Festival USA, Opera Philadelphia, Wigmore Hall, Aldeburgh Festival, Hamburg Elbphilharmonie, Stockholm’s Drottningholms Slottsteater, Houston Grand Opera, Australian Brandenburg Orchestra and the Ravinia and Schleswig Holstein Musik Festivals, and with the Chicago, National and Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestras. Upcoming engagements include the world premiere of Ruinous Gods at the Spoleto Festival and the world premiere of What Belongs to You with chamber orchestra Alarm Will Sound. Sulayman won the 2019 Grammy Award for Best Classical Solo Vocal Album for his debut solo disc Songs of Orpheus (Avie Records) and was nominated for the same award in 2024 for his third solo album Broken Branches (Pentatone).
