Katie Lowe studied at the Royal Northern College of Music, the Royal College of Music and the Wales International Academy of Voice, later returning to the RNCM to complete the International Artist Diploma Course. A Samling Scholar, her recent engagements have included Freia in The Rhinegold for English National Opera, Helmwige in Die Walküre and Third Norn in Götterdämmerung for La Monnaie, Brussels, Helmwige and Third Norn for cycles of Der Ring des Nibelungen at Longborough Festival Opera and Brünnhilde in Act III of Götterdämmerung for The Mastersingers. She won The Elizabeth Connell Prize for Dramatic Sopranos and made her debut with The Royal Opera in the 2024/25 Season as Ortlinde in Die Walküre. Engagements for 2026/27 include Helmwige for Staatsoper Hamburg.
