Biography
Laura Scozzi began dancing at the age of six, training in classical, contemporary, jazz, tap, and ballroom dance. After studying at the Accademia d’Arte Drammatica in Rome and the Marcel Marceau School of Mime Drama in Paris, she founded in 1994 the company Opinioni in Movimento, creating works blending dance, theatre, and song. As a guest choreographer, she has created for the Paris Opera Ballet, the Grand Théâtre de Genève, and the Cannes Junior Ballet, and has collaborated with directors such as Jean-Louis Grinda, Coline Serreau, and Laurent Pelly. Since 2008, she has directed opera productions including The Magic Flute, The Journey to Reims, Orpheus in the Underworld, and The Italian Girl in Algiers, presented at major European houses such as the Nuremberg Opera, Bordeaux Opera, Semperoper Dresden, and the Théâtre du Capitole de Toulouse. In 2020, she returned to her first love: photography.
