British soprano Louise Alder performs worldwide at theatres including the Royal Opera House, Wiener Staatsoper, Glyndebourne Festival, Bayerische Staatsoper, Carnegie Hall and the Wigmore Hall, where she held an artistic residency in 2024. In the 2024–25 Season, Alder made role debuts as Donna Anna (Don Giovanni) at Wiener Staatsoper, Micaëla (Carmen) at San Francisco Opera, and the Contessa (Le nozze di Figaro) at Glyndebourne, while also reprising Susanna at Bayerische Staatsoper. Following her appearance at the Last Night of the Proms, Alder makes her Metropolitan Opera debut in the 2025–26 Season as Zdenka in Arabella and stars in the title role of Semele at Dutch National Opera. On the concert platform, she sings Mahler’s Symphony No. 2 with the Symphonieorchester des Bayerischen Rundfunks and the Luxembourg Philharmonic, and performs Haydn’s Paukenmesse and Mozart’s Requiem with the Scottish Chamber Orchestra. Previously for The Royal Opera: Zerlina (Don Giovanni). She sings the role of Susanna (The Marriage of Figaro) at the Royal Opera House in the 2025/26 Season.
