Biography
Maia Rose Roberts joins The Royal Ballet as an Artist in the 2026/27 Season.
Maia Rose Roberts is a British ballet dancer. She trained internationally before graduating from The Royal Ballet Upper School, where she received the E. John Busser Scholarship and was awarded second place in the Lynn Seymour Award for Expressive Dance. During her training, she performed leading roles in productions including Raymonda and Paquita, and had original choreographic works selected for performance at The Royal Ballet School and Sadler’s Wells.
After graduating, Maia joined Ballett Zürich, where she spent two seasons performing a wide range of classical, neoclassical, and contemporary repertory by choreographers including Crystal Pite, Wayne McGregor, Mats Ek, Kenneth MacMillan and Hans van Manen.
Alongside her performing career, Maia is the author of The Sky’s The Limit: Behind the Curtain of a Life in Dance, offering an honest insight into the dedication, challenges and joy of a life in ballet.
