German soprano Maida Hundeling’s roles include Turandot, Elisabeth and Venus (Tannhäuser), Elsa and Ortrud (Lohengrin), Senta (Der fliegende Holländer), Sieglinde, Brünnhilde, Isolde, Elektra, Salome, Ariadne, Leonore (Fidelio), Marie (Wozzeck), Aida and Abigaille (Nabucco), among others. She performs worldwide including at Arena di Verona, Staatsoper Hamburg, Teatro Carlo Felice, Genoa, Teatro La Fenice, Venice, Teatro Massimo di Palermo, Teatro Verdi di Trieste and Houston Grand Opera. Previous roles for The Royal Opera include Ortrud (Lohengrin) and Helmwige (Die Walküre). Recent highlights include Turandot at Tokyo Bunka Kaikan and the Luglio Musicale Trapanese Festival, Tosca at National Moravian-Silesian Theatre, Turandot and the title role in Fibich’s Šarka at Prague National Theatre, Abigaille at Slovenian National Opera, Ljubljana and Slovak National Theatre and Maddalena in Andrea Chénier at Liberec Theatre. Engagements for 2025/26 include Turandot for Prague National Theatre, Brünnhilde (Siegfried and Götterdämmerung) for the NCPA-Beijing and Isolde and Abigaille for Slovenian National Opera.
