Miranda Westcott
Biography
Miranda Westcott read music at Birmingham University before attending the Guildhall School of Music & Drama. She has covered and performed a variety of roles at the Royal Opera House and elsewhere, including at Welsh National Opera and Garsington Opera. Highlights include Mércèdes (Carmen) for The Royal Opera’s 2023/24 Season and Glasha (Kát’a Kabanová) under Charles Mackerras. In concert, she has appeared at the Wigmore Hall, Cadogan Hall, The Sage Gateshead, Oxford Lieder Festival, St John’s Smith Square and in The Royal Opera’s Crush Room series.Her 2024/25 engagements include Second Bridesmaid (The Marriage of Figaro) for The Royal Opera.
