Biography

Natalie Abrahami created The Turn of the Screw with designer Michael Levine in the 2025/2026 Season and Rusalka with choreographer Ann Yee in the 2022/23 Season having made her Royal Opera debut in the 2013/14 Season with How the Whale Became in the Linbury Studio Theatre. She started her collaborative practice when jointly running the Gate Theatre in Notting Hill with Carrie Cracknell. Natalie went on to become Associate Director at the Young Vic where she directed Juliet Stevenson in Happy Days and Wings, George Mackay in Ah, Wilderness! and Natalie Dormer in After Miss Julie. Recent theatre credits include: Abigail’s Party (Royal Exchange Theatre), The Trials (Donmar Warehouse), Swive (Sam Wanamaker Theatre at Shakespeare’s Globe), ANNA (Dorfman Theatre) and Machinal (Almeida).
