Olle Zetterström
Biography
Born in Gothenburg, Sweden, he studied at the Royal College of Music and joined the Royal Opera Chorus in 2007, having previously sung with Glyndebourne Chorus. For The Royal Opera his roles include: Dinner Guest (Festen), Gaoler (Tosca), Second Man in Armour (Die Zauberflöte), Fifth Gambler (The Gambler), Assassin (Macbeth, including Japan tour) and Footman (Der Rosenkavalier), and he has covered the roles of Ceprano (Rigoletto), Dr Grenvil (La traviata), Alcindoro and Sergeant (La bohème), Flemish Deputy (Don Carlo), Fiorello (Barber of Seville), Crébillon and Rabonier (La rondine), Tutor (Elektra), Foltz (Meistersinger), Policeman/General (The Nose), Police Officer (Boris Godunov). Elsewhere, solo roles in full operas and excerpts have included First General (Sosarme), Vario (Ezio), Sarastro and Second Man in Armour (Die Zauberflöte), Osmin, Don Alfonso, Rocco, Alidoro, Don Basilio, Frank (Die Fledermaus), Collatinus (The Rape of Lucretia), Superintendent Budd (Albert Herring) and Second Commissioner (Dialogues des Carmélites). In the 2025/26 Royal Opera Season he sings the Gaoler in Tosca.
