Paolo Fantin studied at the Istituto Statale d’Arte di Venezia and Accademia di Belle Arti di Venezia, and has worked with Damiano Michieletto since 2004. Opera set designs include Guillaume Tell, Don Pasquale (ROH), Don Giovanni, Le nozze di Figaro, Così fan tutte (Venice), Alcina, La bohème, Falstaff, La Cenerentola (Salzburg Festival), Il trittico (Royal Danish Opera, Theater an der Wien), L’elisir d’amore (Madrid), Poliuto (Zurich), Un ballo in maschera, Salome (Milan), The Rake’s Progress (Leipzig, Venice), Idomeneo (Theater an der Wien), Il viaggio a Reims, Rigoletto, Animal Farm (DNO), The Magic Flute, Die lustige Witwe, Aquagranda, Le Baruffe (Venice), Cendrillon (Komische Oper Berlin), Samson et Dalila (Paris Opera), La donna del lago (Rossini Opera Festival, Pesaro), La damnation de Faust (Rome), Jenůfa (Berlin Staatsoper), Béatrice et Bénédict (Lyon), and Kat’a Kabanova (Glyndebourne Festival).
