Biography
Patricia Auchterlonie is a singer and maker, interested in exploring all that is colourful and unexpected. Operatic work includes Lucia II in Beat Furrer's Der grosse Feuer (Zurich Opera), Superfan in Oliver Leith and Matt Copson's Last Days (Royal Opera House and LA Philharmonic), Child in Isabella Gellis’ The Devil's Den (Shadwell Opera and Nevil Holt Festival) and Knussen’s Where the Wild Things Are (Bamberger Symphoniker and Shadwell Opera). In concert, she has performed with the Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival, Bold Tendancies, Britten Sinfonia, Birmingham Contemporary Music Group, London Contemporary Music Festival, Snape Maltings, Weiner Festwoche, eavesdropping festival and at Cafe OTO. She was a participant in the inaugural cohort of the 2023–24 VOICEBOX programme, delivered by Juliet Fraser. She makes textiles/crafts and writes music, and with regular collaborator Hestor Dart, she has a touring project called loomeweight for two weaving singers.
