Biography

Irish soprano Sarah Brady performs internationally on the opera stage, the concert platform and in recital. Her 2025/26 opera debuts included Merab (Saul) at the Handel and Haydn Society Boston, Freia in new production of Das Rheingold with the Berlin Philharmonic under Kirill Petrenko at the Salzburg Easter Festival and her role debut as Cleopatra (Giulio Cesare) at the Grange Festival. Recent concert appearances include with the National Symphony Orchestra of Ireland as Micaëla (Carmen) and the Zurich Chamber Philharmonic in Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9. Recent opera highlights include Merab for Glyndebourne and Oper Köln, Queen Tye(Akhnaten) for Komische Oper Berlin and Woglinde (Das Rheingold) at the Bayerische Staatsoper. Engagements for 2026/27 include Woglinde (Götterdämmerung) at Bayerische Staatsoper and a return to Komische Oper Berlin. She made her Royal Opera debut in the 2024/25 Season as Sandman in Hansel and Gretel.
