Biography

Sarah Maria Dragović is a Serbian-Austrian musician, born in Salzburg in 1997 and currently based in Vienna. She studied viola with Gerhard Marschner and Thomas Selditz at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna, graduating with distinction. Alongside her work as a violist, her artistic practice encompasses performance, composition and interdisciplinary collaboration across the fields of theatre, film and performance art. She is a member of various artistic formations, including punctum collective and the synesthetic project, and regularly appears as a freelance musician with contemporary ensembles such as Schallfeld, PHACE, Ensemble Wiener Collage and Saint Genet. Alongside frequent performances in Austria and abroad, she is deeply engaged in transdisciplinary projects, free improvisation and the performance of contemporary music. A central focus of her work lies in collaborative practices, particularly in the collective development of concert formats, performances and interdisciplinary artistic concepts.
