Sesto Quatrini was Artistic Director at the Lithuanian National Opera and Ballet Theatre from 2016 to 2023. From 2015 to 2016 he was assistant conductor to Fabio Luisi at the Metropolitan Opera and at the Festival della Valle d’Itria, where he made his Italian opera debut with Verdi’s Un giorno di regno. Recent and future engagements include Rigoletto (Sydney Opera House), Manon Lescaut (Opéra de Lyon), Lucia di Lammermoor (Tiroler Erl Festspiele), Manon (Opernhaus Zurich), L’italiana in Algeri (Teatro dell’Opera, Rome), Roméo et Juliette (Teatro di San Carlo, Naples) and Macbeth (Teatro Carlo Felice, Genoa). He made his Royal Opera debut in the 2023/24 Season, with L’elisir d’amore.
