Biography
Italian baritone Simone Del Savio is a graduate of the Giuseppe Verdi Conservatory in Turin. He performs worldwide, with notable company debuts including La Scala, Milan as Sharpless (Madama Butterfly) in 2007, the Salzburg Festival as Montano (Otello) in 2008, under Riccardo Muti, the Royal Opera House as Schaunard (La bohème) in 2010 and Paris Opera as Count de Monterone (Rigoletto) in 2012. Recent highlights include Des Sirieux in Fedora for Grand Théatre de Genève, Don Alfonso in Così fan tutte for Opéra de Lyon and Bartolo in Il barbiere di Siviglia for Teatro La Fenice. Engagements for 2025/26 include Riccardo in I puritani for Teatro Regio, Turin, Bartolo for Deutsche Oper Berlin and Moralès in Carmen for La Scala, Milan.
