Biography

From Australia, she studied at the University of Melbourne and the Wales International Academy of Voice in Cardiff and was a member of the young artists’ programmes at the Salzburg Festival and Deutsche Oper Berlin. Recent highlights include Sophie (Der Rosenkavalier) for Staatsoper Berlin, Pamina (The Magic Flute) and the soprano role in Bach’s St. Matthew Passion for Deutsche Oper Berlin, Eritrea (Eliogabalo) for Zurich Opera and in concert, soloist in Ravel’s Shéhérazade with Bayerische Rundfunk and Orchestre Radio France; Das Buch mit sieben Siegeln with Wiener Symphoniker; Berg’s Seven Early Songs with Berlin Radio Symphony Orchestra; Das Paradies und die Peri with Gürzenich Orchestra Cologne and Netherlands Radio Orchestra; Strauss’ Four Last Songs with Melbourne Symphony; Debussy’s Ariettes oubliées with Sydney Symphony and Mozart’s Requiem with The Cleveland Orchestra. Other notable engagements include Cendrillon for Lyric Opera of Chicago; Pamina and Susanna (The Marriage of Figaro) for The Royal Opera; Susanna for Komische Oper Berlin (also Staatsoper Berlin); Sophie and Eritea (Eliogabalo) for Zurich Opera; Mélisande (Pelléas et Mélisande) for Opera de Dijon; the title role of Lady Magnesia and Najade (Ariadne auf Naxos) for Bayerische Staatsoper; Blonde (Die Entführung aus dem Serail) for Dutch National Opera and staged performances of Mozart’s Requiem at the Aix-en-Provence Festival.
