Biography

Bulgarian baritone Vladimir Stoyanov made his Royal Opera debut in 2019, as Prince Yeletsky in The Queen of Spades. He later returned to the Royal Opera House for Giorgio Germont in La traviata in 2022. He has performed as Sharpless in Madama Butterfly at Teatro Real, Madrid and Opera Carlo Felice, Genoa. Other notable performances include Don Carlo at Paris Opera and Liceu, Barcelona; Rigoletto at Bregenz Festival, Rome Opera and Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía; La traviata at Bayerische Staatsoper, Staatsoper Berlin, Arena di Verona, Maggio Musicale, Florence, Teatro di San Carlo, Naples, and La Fenice, Venice;  Il pirata at Teatro Real, Madrid; Nabucco at NCPA Beijing; Otello in Baden-Baden with the Berliner Philharmoniker; Un ballo in maschera at La Fenice, Venice; Attila, Macbeth, I due Foscari, Don Carlo and Ernani at Festival Verdi Parma and Il trovatore at Los Angeles Opera.
