Yaritza Véliz

Chilean soprano Yaritza Véliz was a member of the Jette Parker Young Artists Programme 2018-20. She was the 2023 winner of the Emerging Stars Competition at the San Francisco Opera. Her engagements for this season include a return to the Royal Opera House as Mimì (La bohème), Violetta (La traviata) for the Norwegian National Opera, Donna Elvira (Don Giovanni) for Rouen Opera, Giulietta (I Capuleti e i Montecchi) for Opéra national de Lorraine and Adina (L’elisir d’amore) for Santa Fe Opera. In concert she gives her first performance of Strauss’Vier Letzte Lieder with the Orchestra of the Municipal de Santiago, Chile.Upcoming engagements include debuts with Paris Opera, Bayerisce Staatsoper, Dallas Opera, Houston Grand Opera, Staatsoper Hamburg and the Semperoper Dresden, as well as returns to the Royal Opera House and the Glyndebourne Festival.
