Background
Chance to Dance is The Royal Ballet's flagship young talent programme. The Legacy and Connect companies return to the Linbury stage this season to celebrate diverse talent from across the country, performing a mixed programme of works inspired by Peter Wright's Giselle.
The Royal Ballet and Opera’s Learning and Participation young talent programmes have a long-term commitment to providing a welcoming and tailored space for young dancers from all backgrounds to reach their highest potential. Chance to Dance works in partnership with independent dance schools across the country to be a catalyst for systemic change in equity of opportunity in ballet training. Children from Bradford and North East legacy companies will perform alongside the Connect company.
Chance to Dance: Connect builds upon the well-established national programme and brings together talented young people of Global Majority Heritage aged 11-18 who are aspiring for a career in classical Ballet.
