Biography

 Annemarie Woods is the co-winner of the Ring Award Graz and European Opera Prize.  

Set and costume designs include The Handmaid’s Tale (English National Opera); Billy Budd (Finnish National Opera, Den Norske Opera and Ballet); Eugene Onegin (Scottish Opera); Trouble in Tahiti/A Quiet Place (Linbury Theatre); The Lighthouse (Irish National Opera); Radamisto (NIO); L’heure espagnole, Gianni Schicchi, The Importance of Being Earnest (Opera National de Lorraine); Turn of the Screw (NIO, Nevill Holt); Semele ( Théâtre des Champs-Elysées); Hair (Staatstheater Darmstadt); Salome (Cologne) and La Cenerentola (Lucerne Festival).

Costume designs include Aida (ROH); Coppélia (Scottish Ballet);Roméo et Juliette ,Girl with a Pearl Earring, Sweeney Todd (Zurich); Don Quixote (Royal Danish Ballet); Cavalleria rusticana/Pagliacci (Dutch National Opera); Madama Butterfly (Zurich, Montpellier); Osud (Brno Opera); A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Deutsche Oper Berlin, Montpellier); La traviata (Komische Oper Berlin); Pity (Royal Court); Coriolanus (National Theatre London) and Don Giovanni (Festival D’Aix-En-Provence).
