Discover Bizet’s Carmen through live performances and informal conversation, exploring one of opera’s most iconic titular characters. Ahead of Damiano Michieletto’s production returning to the Royal Opera House, mezzo-soprano Sophie Goldrick and répétiteur Patrick Milne delve into Bizet’s music and influences and explore how artists and audiences continue to respond to the opera’s enduring themes of love, jealousy and fate.

This event takes place in the Paul Hamlyn Hall, which is a large, brightly-lit glass-covered room with smooth, wooden floors. Seating will be allocated on your ticket.
